CGIA will hold its final session of the Emergency GIS brown bag web speaker series with speakers from National Alliance for Public Safety GIS (NAPSG) Foundation & NextGen911.

Paul Doherty is a technical adviser for the National Alliance for Public Safety GIS Foundation (NAPSG), a University Professor, and a SAR Volunteer that has been promoting the use of GIS in SAR across the world since 2008. Paul also has a PhD from the University of California in Environmental Systems, GIS. Paul will present an overview of NAPSG’s Resources website and the topic of Public Information Maps.

Rachel Rodriguez is the Countywide Address Management System (CAMS) Coordinator for the County of Los Angeles on the Enterprise GIS (eGIS) team. She has various emergency management experience, holds a Master’s Degree in GIS&T from USC, maintains her GISP and is actively involved in URISA and CGIA Professional Organizations. Rachel will discuss California’s NG911 GIS Taskforce, which she serves as GIS Co-Chair, on the latest topics and issues of how the Taskforce is working with CalOES on the State’s Plan for coordination and implementation of a Statewide NG9-1-1 Address Repository.
