The California Geographic Alliance, an organization that promotes geography and geospatial technology education in K-12 schools in California, has posted the list of winners of the 2020 My California GIS Mapping Competition. The first place award for grades 4-8 goes to Jaydon Do and Leo Liang, James Rutter Middle School (Teacher: Karen Sanko), Sacramento, “Bay Delta – Center of California Water Wars.” The first place award for grades 9-12 goes to 1st Natalie Baghumyan and Matt Orbita, Clark Magnet High School (Teacher: Dominique Evans-Bye), Glendale, “The Growing Threat in the WUI.“
