Nominations for the 2019 CGIA Awards are Still open! Submission deadline May 17th! 

Each year the California Geographic Information Association recognizes outstanding achievements in various aspects of GIS within California through its awards program. Awards are open to any person in the State of California, and will be announced at the CGIA/SoCal URISA Social Event at the Esri User Group Conference (evening of Monday, July 8th) in San Diego, CA.

Nominations for outstanding individuals and organizations in the following categories must be submitted on/before May 17th, 2019:

  • Best Student Paper (cash award)
  • Exemplary Systems Award
  • Advancement of Collaboration Award
  • Outstanding Internet Application Award
  • Excellence in Education Award
  • Best Innovative Story Map

The student award is a cash award for travel to the ESRI User Conference in San Diego up to $500 and the other awards are for trophies. All award winners will also receive a one year membership to CGIA.

An award is an outstanding way of recognizing individuals in the GIS community for their efforts in the education, implementation and advancement of GIS.  Nominate a colleague, project, or program for a CGIA award by going to the CGIA Nomination Page.

Nominations must be submitted by May 17, 2019.
