CalGIS 2019: Deadline for Abstracts is January 9

California URISA Chapters and the California Geographic Information Association (CGIA) are pleased to invite presentation proposals for CalGIS 2019, the milestone 25th annual event which will take place April 8-10 at the DoubleTree Hilton in Fresno, California and will feature pre-event workshops and training, keynote speakers, an abundance of breakout sessions, and a busy exhibit hall.

Presentations may be lecture-style, a facilitated conversation, a panel discussion, or a mini-workshop. Early registration is available through January 31 – you can attend all three educational days for as low as $350.   Representatives of the regional GIS councils are especially encouraged to participate; the rest of us would love to learn about what is working well for you. The deadline for submission of presentation proposals is January 9.

Here is the website with all the information, including the call for presentations: https://www.urisa.org/calgis

Questions may be directed to the CalGIS 2019 program chair Jane Schafer-Kramer (jane.schafer-kramer@norcalurisa.org)
