Introducing the new 3DNTM Data Collaboration Announcement

The USGS National Geospatial Program is excited to announce the new 3D National Topography Model Data Collaboration Announcement (3DNTM DCA).

The National Geospatial (NGP) program collaborates with a wide range of stakeholders to share acquisition costs for topographic data in support of collective mission requirements. Building on the success of the 3DEP Broad Agency Announcement (BAA), NGP is streamlining and broadening its data acquisition partnership process to better serve partners, users, and the public.

 Highlights about the 3DNTM DCA:

  • Beginning in Federal Fiscal Year 2024, the 3DNTM DCA will replace the 3DEP BAA as the process to partner on cost-sharing topographic data acquisition costs.
  • The 3DNTM DCA is intended to include data acquisition partnerships for both the 3D Elevation Program and the 3D Hydrography Programas a step towards integration of elevation and hydrography in the 3D National Topography Model.
  • The process to solicit and select partnerships has been revised and streamlined, potentially decreasing timing constraints and providing greater flexibility in future years to benefit our partners.

Additional information and opportunities to learn more will be added to the 3DNTM DCA Portal as they are available, including details on an instructional webinar scheduled for August 9th at 1:00 PM ET.
