Community GIS Legislation Reviewers Needed

The CGIA Community Council is hosting its (FIRST!) Community GIS Legislation Review. This is an opportunity for professionals in the California’s GIS community to contribute their informed perspectives on the use and governance of GIS in the state. The group may decide to provide some or all of its feedback to professional organizations, policymakers, or other stakeholders of interest. If you are interested, please fill out this Google form to indicate your general availability and discussion priorities.

A few items of note for the Review Session(s):

  • All sessions will be virtual. Depending on interest and time availability, there may be multiple sessions for participants to choose from.
  • These events are eligible for GISP Points! (Points will fall under: Contributions – VII GIS Volunteer Efforts)
  • Participation is voluntary. We encourage you to use your non-work email addresses, so that you may participate as individual GIS professionals.

If you think anyone else would be interested in this, please forward this along to them. Reach out to us with any questions/concerns/etc. at vicechair@cgia.org.
