There was lively discussion on a lawsuit involving a California GIS practitioner and the California Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists over the alleged practice of surveying without a license; the FCC Broadband Map and challenge process and implications for federal funding awards, an invitation by Isaac Cabrera, the State Geographic Information Officer, to the local government GIS community to join his monthly GIS Community of Practice call, workgroup reports, and upcoming events.
