A Quick Survey on California LiDAR use.

As many of you may have heard, there is a substantial effort to move towards completing statewide lidar coverage. To support this move, I’ve put together a very quick survey that is targeted at getting just a little bit more information about the use cases for LiDAR in California, who is using it, and what they need from the data. You’ll also note that the last few questions will allow me to follow up with you to get more information and see if you’re interested in speaking before the legislature on the Ca. Natural Resources Agency’s budget item for LiDAR.

The link below is to an ESRI Survey 123:

I’m going to leave the survey open indefinitely to see what comes in over time. That said, spreading the link around and responding before the end of next week (2/21) would be optimal. I’ll probably be pulling info and looking through it in detail to try to identify folks for follow up the week following next(2/24).
