The California URISA Chapters and the California Geographic Information Association (CGIA) are pleased to invite workshop and presentation proposals for CalGIS 2019, the milestone 25th annual event which will take place April 8-10 at the DoubleTree Hilton in Fresno, California. This event will have a focus on transportation GIS, including multi-modal ( bikes, mopeds, pedestrian, public transit, etc.) but many other areas of interest will be included as well. There is interest in holding a forum of the regional GIS councils at this event, and the leaders of those groups are especially encouraged to participate. Please contact the program chair jane.schafer-kramer@norcalurisa.org if interested. We’d love to see a presence of the California GIS Council there as well!
The CalGIS 2019 educational program is developed through a peer review of submissions received. Workshop proposals are due on or before December 3, 2018. Presentation proposals are due on or before January 9, 2019.
