The California Office of Emergency Services is hosting a statewide Emergency Management-GIS coordination meeting next Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Cal OES Headquarters, 3650 Schriever Ave., Mather, CA.
The purpose of the meeting is to provide an opportunity for statewide emergency management GIS professionals to coordinate and collaborate on enhancing EM-GIS capabilities across California. Agenda attached.
Participants are encouraged to come prepared to speak to the following for their organization:
- Current GIS capability, such as EM-GIS location in org structure, primary GIS mission, core GIS tools/technologies.
- Goals & Objectives for enhanced GIS capability, such as any initiatives underway, any specific focus areas for capability enhancement.
- Opportunities for statewide coordination.
