Invitation to Provide Feedback
The COGO Steering Committee has developed an online survey whose results will provide important input for the next National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI) Assessment report. By gathering responses from as broad a cross-section of the U.S. geospatial community as possible, the Committee gains valuable information to guide its efforts to advance and support the NSDI—COGO’s primary objective for its Assessment work.
- The survey will be open until the week of June 15.
- The survey is meant to be completed by individuals either on behalf of their organization and/or based on their own professional experiences.
- We seek the input from both expert- and non-expert users.
- The survey has one section on the NSDI as a whole and then subsequent sections on the 8 Framework Theme datasets. Respondents are able to select which of the data sections they wish to respond to. Each section is estimated to take 5-8 minutes to complete.

The NSDI Assessment is a key product that COGO publishes every four years, and extra care has been devoted to the design and development of this survey. COGO anticipates that the final Assessment report—expected to be published in September 2027—will be an impactful and widely referenced resource.
