Each year the California Geographic Information Association recognizes outstanding achievements in various aspects of GIS within California through its awards program. Awards are a great way to recognize your fellow GIS professionals and winners gain valuable GISP points! CGIA awards are open to any person in the State of California.
Additionally, this year we are proud to announce two student awards categories, one for undergraduate and one for graduate student projects. Awards will be granted to the student whose project, application or tool best demonstrates innovation in the use of GIS technology. Open to students who were enrolled as of the previous quarter of the current award year (Example: Fall Quarter/Semester 2020 for the 2021 awards).
A scholarship award of $1000 will be awarded to the 1st place winners in both undergraduate and graduate categories and $500 will be awarded for both runner-up entries as well.
All award winners receive a FREE 1-year membership to CGIA.
