Placer County Water Agency encompasses the entire, 1,500-square-mile boundary of Placer County, ranging from the rim of the Sacramento Valley on the west to the Sierra Nevada and Lake Tahoe on the east. The Agency is headquartered in Auburn and carries out a broad range of responsibilities including water resource planning and management, retail and wholesale supply of irrigation water and drinking water, production of hydroelectric power and watershed stewardship across Placer County.

GIS TECHNICIAN I – Advanced Entry-Level
$4,117 - $5,255 monthly, DOQ, plus excellent benefits
PCWA is seeking a talented individual to perform advanced entry-level technician work in support of the Agency’s Geographic Information System related to creating and maintaining maps and associated geographic source data, using GIS software programs, commands and compilation methods to generate and utilize spatial overlays. Our ideal candidate for this highly desirable career opportunity will possess one to three years of related experience using GIS systems, including experience with Esri-based GIS software applications and databases.
