The 25^th anniversary conference will be a celebration of the unique nature of our profession. GIS has 

the power to shape and change our world – or even just our community. GIS is cooperative, it is dynamic, 

it can be subtle, and it is ubiquitous. GIS adds value to our communities and improves the lives of our 

citizens every day – often without notice.

You, as practitioners of GIS, make all of this happen and more. So to celebrate and recognize your contributions, the 2015 NGIS Conference Planning Committee is committed to bringing you another 

great conference – complete with some special new twists.

This year’s conference will begin Monday afternoon and run through mid-day on Wednesday. We will

have sessions covering a wide array of topics as well as a new series of lightning talks. We are planning fun events and intriguing pre-conference field trips. We will also be working with NGIF to host a golf tournament in the Tahoe Basin on Sunday the 11th. The event promises to be fun, beautiful, and all for a great cause.
