{"id":207,"date":"2015-07-31T17:01:21","date_gmt":"2015-08-01T00:01:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cgia.org\/cagiscouncil\/?p=207"},"modified":"2015-07-31T17:01:21","modified_gmt":"2015-08-01T00:01:21","slug":"meeting-recap-for-july-2015","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cgia.org\/cagiscouncil\/2015\/07\/31\/meeting-recap-for-july-2015\/","title":{"rendered":"Meeting recap for July 2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I wanted to provide a brief recap of the California GIS Council Meeting that was help July 22nd, 2015 at the ESRI conference.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Executive Committee Nominations<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We decided to provide one more week for nominations. \u00a0I have now closed the nominations, and the election ballot will come out right after this.\u00a0Elections will proceed over the next two weeks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Votes<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Council voted to endorse the Vision for Survey of California Vegetation. \u00a0I wrote a letter of endorsement from the Council to Tom Lupo at the state:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cgia.org\/cagiscouncil\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Letter-Supporting-Shared-Vision-for-vegetation.pdf\">Letter Endorsing a Shared Vision for vegetation<\/a><\/li>\n<li>The Council voted to approve and establish the Drone\/UAS Policy Work Group (UPWG)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>WorkGroups<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>UAS\/Done Policy Work Group<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; This workgroup was established<\/li>\n<li><strong>Digital Land Record Inventory &#8211;<\/strong> MarkGreninger will work to re-establish this. \u00a0The\u00a0first task will be to respond to recommendations to theSGC from the team that built the statewide parcels.\n<ul>\n<li>Please email Mark Greninger (mgreninger@cio.lacounty.gov) if you want to join this workgroup.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Strategic Plan \u2013 MarkGreninger willestablish and\n<ul>\n<li>Please email Mark Greninger (mgreninger@cio.lacounty.gov) if you want to join this workgroup.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I wanted to provide a brief recap of the California GIS Council Meeting that was help July 22nd, 2015 at the ESRI conference.
