The deadline is October 11, 2019 and term will run through September 30, 2020. In the coming months the Council will be reviewing its Charter and working on a Strategic Plan to fulfill its mission. This is also a great opportunity to earn points towards your GIS Professional Certification!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As outlined in the Council\nCharter, the Executive Committee assists the Chair and Vice-Chair in the\ngovernance of the Council \u201con internal business matters such as developing\nagendas for Council meetings, maintaining the Council website, supporting\ncommunications, holding elections, responding to requests from Council members\nor constituencies, and establishing workgroups.\u201d The Executive Committee is\ncomprised of one representative from each of the Council constituencies, or an\nalternate designee for open constituencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are especially seeking nominations\nto represent the following constituencies:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>State Government<\/li><li>Federal Government<\/li><li>City Government<\/li><li>Tribal Government<\/li><li>Regional Government and Regional GIS Councils<\/li><li>Special Districts<\/li><li>Education<\/li><li>Private Industry<\/li><li>Professional Associations<\/li><li>Non-profit Organizations<\/li><li>Public and Private Utilities<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If we\nreceive more than one nominee from any particular constituency, we will hold an\nelection.
